PARTS POLICY

ITEMS SOLD AS IS.  I try to offer reasonable prices on good used parts that are becoming harder and harder to find. I generally do not offer money back guarantees as my parts are sold as is. I will, however, be glad to swap out an item if it does not work or is unacceptable and I have a replacement item in stock and you pay shipping and handling costs. This is especially true for electrical components such as AC & Heat parts. Items such as power antenna motors are tested and I will state that it has been tested in my reply. I will be glad to send digital pictures if needed and describe the part to the best of my ability to help determine the condition of an item. Keep in mind that most parts are not NOS or Mint and when I state something is good or very good this does not mean VG+, Mint - or Mint.

SHIPPING AND HANDLING
I ship 2-3 day Priority Mail through the U.S. Postal Service unless we agree to another shipping method. Shipping and Handling price quotes are understood to include Priority Mail shipping unless otherwise indicated. I do ship outside of the United States, however, I will need a shipping address to determine what your shipping charges will be. I use the online U.S. Postal Service calculator to determine rates for addresses outside the U.S. You can confirm the rate for yourself by going to www.USPS.com.
Note: If you do not provide me with a specific Ship To address, I will used the return address on your envelope, check or any other source of address that I can find. If you do not provide me with a deliverable Ship To address then I do not assume responsibility for your items being lost.

UNCLAIMED ITEMS
I try to work with buyers of larger parts in which I cannot provide shipping and try to allow sufficient amount of time for buyer to either pick-up or arrange for shipping. I will allow a maximum of two months for pickup for any items that has been purchased. After two months I will put item back in stock and buyer will forfeit the payment and the item. Please make sure if you purchase an item such as an engine, windshield, fender, hood, etc. that you will be able to either pick the item up or arrange for shipping.

PAYMENT METHODS
Personal Check, Money Order, or Cashiers Check are fine and should be sent to my address listed below. I generally do not hold items, but reserve the right to hold an item until a personal check has cleared. I DO ACCEPT PAYPAL. You can send money to my PAYPAL account set up under my e-mail address: jasonedge@nc.rr.com. If you are sending payment by Express Mail, UPS or Fed Ex DO NOT REQUEST A SIGNATURE, as there may not be anyone at home to sign for it.

Jason,

I know you have a huge inventory, but have you ever
compiled a parts list with prices for distribution? I'm
sure our members would love to see everything you
have available.

No..and I probalby never will or can. I have a basic price list but they say each car breaks down to 3000 to 5000 parts and I believe it. I have probably 200 storage bins in the garage of nothing but differnt types of nuts and bolts!

I sure can understand the vast time it would take
to create a complete parts list. Operating a Cadillac
parts business would be a full-time job. Thanks for
the quick reply.

I have my inventory, or what I charge for parts on a 8x11 sheet of paper. So much for computers.

I definitely use a spreadsheet....and its mainly an over view of description, prices and most importantly Weight! The weight (and size if a big item) is the most important piece of info I have. For example I charge $40 for a VG Torque converter but shipping this 45 pound part within my state is only $20 but shipping to say Denmark (which I have done) is about $160. I go to my spreadsheet for weight more than anything else after pricing.

I sometime get customers screaming mad about the cost to ship large heaving items overseas, but I just round up to the nearest $5 increment and pass the cost on. Anyone is always welcome to arrange to provide shipping on their own. Again...I have a visual image of most parts that come off the cars having stripped 32 completely down, but things like weight and coming up with a fair consistent price is what I use my spread sheet for. Things that are very body style specific such as rear core sedan doors I also do keep a pretty good count of in my list.

I always get my rubber seal from Steele Rubber Products at 800-544-8665 or www.steelrubber.com.

I Know there are also a few other sources but have had good luck with Steele Rubber in the paste.

Jason,
Is a spreadsheet something like a document that could
be attached to an email? 841 rows would be interesting
to read. It sounds like you have already done the hard
work.
jasonedge wrote on Jan 15
Yes, it could be atached to an email just as an Word Document, Picture, etc. Again this is not a public parts list buy my personal cryptic notes from 15 years of dealing with parts.

Looking for a motor for a 1963 CDV. 390 CID. Any idea on cost or if I could use a different motor. Would I have to switch out transmission?
jasonedge wrote on Feb 2
I have two previously running but high mileage 390 long blocks (core block + internals + cylinder heads) for $250. These would be excellent rebuild candidates or OK to replace all gaskets, seals, and drop and go if you just need something running. You would need to arrange shipping on your end. Many customers have gone with Fed Ex Ground or came and picked up in person..... just as I had someone come 700 miles for one this past weekend.

My address is 104 New Rand Rd, Garner, NC 27529. I am 2 miles from Interstate 40 NC exit 306 or about 21 miles from Interstate 95 NC exit 81.
If interested in one of the 2 I have on hand shoot me an email to jasonedge@nc.rr.com.

Hello Guy,
I think I have one CDV windshield but I normally charge $125. I believe the one I have on hand is the one that had a half-moon spot in the glass that I had a glass repair guy fix when they were at the house working on my wife's car. I think it is very slight but noticeable if you get right up on it. I would take $100 bu tlike Pyro you would need to pick up. I'm about 21 miles from Interstate 95 if you are in my neck of the woods anytime soon.
Jason.

Come visit the Oregon coast and drive away with my
1963 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. $1900 or best offer.
It's rusty but runs and drives beautifully.
jasonedge wrote on Feb 8
It would probably cost me that in gas to get out there! LOL. Hopefully someone closer by will help you move the 63 CDV.
